Yvandro Borges gets a professional contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach. Borges already plays in Luxembourg’s national team. Gladbach’s sports director keeps his promises for the future with the contract.

First professional contract: Yvandro Borges (18) signs his first professional contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach. This is reported by the “BILD”. The 18-year-old is currently still playing in the U19 team from the Lower Rhine. In preparation, however, he should train with the professionals.

Young national player: At the age of 17, Borges played his first international match for the Luxembourg national team. Among other things, he measures himself in the Nations League against Portugal with world star Cristiano Ronaldo. Borges then scored his first international goal in a friendly against Qatar.

True to his word: Gladbach’s sports director Roland Virkus is implementing his idea for the future of Borussia with the professional contract. Accordingly, the professional team should be built on three pillars. “Experienced professionals as structure players, plus national and international top talents – and finally home-grown talent again.”
