Sochi authorities have tightened control over compliance with mask mode at a resort on the backdrop of the spread of COVID-19. This was announced by the mayor of the city Alexey Kopaigorodsky at a meeting in the city administration, reports "Interfax".
"Today in Sochi already peak holiday season. The city has about 210 thousand tourists and more than 500 thousand inhabitants. In this regard, we see the expected and controlled growth in sick", – said the mayor.
He stressed the need to strengthen the monitoring of compliance with all requirements of the alert, and added that the stores, restaurants, shopping malls, cafes, dolphinariums and cultural facilities and in public transport necessary to support the monitoring of compliance with mask mode.
According to the latest data, in Sochi recorded 894 cases of coronavirus, 32 people died. The increase in the number of patients COVID-19 notes from the last week of July. So, from 23 July to 6 August, the growth of infected coronavirus infection is 197 people.
