No sooner had the RPL championship to resume after been suspended due to a pandemic coronavirus, as two cube – “Rostov” and “Dynamo” – sat in quarantine after the detection of the disease in football players. In this regard, the RFU and RPL issued a joint statement which reiterated that the season won’t be stopped, and also explained why the match with participation of Rostovites were not transferred, and “Dynamo” will hold its meeting in July.

“out of the question to stop the season, no. We believe that the RFU, the League and the clubs can provide a safe holding training, matches and to finish all meetings of the season – said in a statement. – RPL and RFU hope that clubs will take responsibility for the implementation of the rules on the resumption. Now they are building their training, but the main thing should be the safety of the players. Strict adherence to our requirements and recommendations will reduce the risks to a minimum and to finish the championship.”

Regarding postponements of matches due to quarantine the League and the RFU insist that it must be a mutual consent of the clubs.

“Teams are preparing for the games, focusing on the calendar, which was agreed before the restart of the season. Change of dates for them to create additional problems in addressing athletic goals for the season: it is necessary to adjust the training schedule, logistics; they are obviously more difficult position compared to its closest competitors. For this situation, not everyone is ready club”, – stated in the message.

it is Emphasized that during a pandemic coronavirus, the situation of the outbreak in clubs is not force majeure. The League and the RFU will not take on decision-making, completely losing it to the clubs. You have options to enjoy another dubious spectacle, as in the match “Sochi” – “Rostov”, is quite possible. After all, the same “Dynamo” and “Rostov” will spend in quarantine for two weeks.
