Russian President Vladimir Putin during a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that the sanctions pressure on Iran is futile.

On it informs a press-service of the Kremlin.

It is noted that also in the discussion of the situation around Iran stressed the relevance of efforts to maintain a Joint comprehensive plan of action on Iran’s nuclear program.

In June, the US expanded the sanctions list against Iran, adding to its eight legal entities.
