Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel in a telephone conversation came to the conclusion that the Minsk agreement are important and should be unconditionally implemented, RIA Novosti reported. So the heads of state reacted to the statement of Kiev about the need to revise the agreement on the situation in the Donbass.

Merkel phoned Putin

National leaders confirmed that at present the alternative to the Minsk agreements, and they are the only basis in order to restore peace in Eastern Ukraine. Putin and Merkel agreed that the agreement is extremely important and should be implemented as decisions taken at the summit “channel four”.

“Merkel has decided to intensify work in this direction”, – quotes Agency the press service of the Kremlin.

Earlier, as reported “the Rambler”, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Ukrainian government for the reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories Alexey Reznikov said that the Minsk agreements have lost relevance. However, he admitted that in the near future Ukraine will insist on the revision of existing agreements.
