The President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated the staff of Serovskiy historical Museum with 100-year anniversary. The telegram published on Friday on the Kremlin website.

"Thanks to the hard, selfless work of many generations of your predecessors, the Museum is famous for its rich geological, paleontological, artistic collections, unique collections of books and photographs, telling of bright, interesting pages of the history of the Northern Urals, the original customs and traditions of its inhabitants", – said the President.

Putin stressed that the Museum employs specialists "of the highest caliber, who sincerely, wholeheartedly devoted to the chosen field of work". "Your educational activities, informative exhibits, guided tours, workshops is a large, important contribution to the development of cultural and social life of our country," he added. The head of state wished the team success and creative energy for the implementation of the plans.

Serovskiy historical Museum is one of the oldest in the Northern Urals. The Museum was opened for visitors on may 15, 1920. In the funds the institution holds more than 65 thousand items, including photographs, books, and more.
