Several domestic vaccine against the new coronavirus can start testing on volunteers for the past two weeks, said Wednesday the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova.
"I’m sure in the next two weeks we will see a few vaccines that will enter the stage of clinical trials, <…> that is, human studies," she said in an interview Naila Asker-zade in the "Conduct" on channel "Russia-1".
Popov also noted that before clinical trials in General, will reach only those vaccines that are safe and effective, how many of them will be is unknown.
"Is a mandatory two defining properties of the vaccine, each new drug that allow you to move on to testing on humans," she added.
Earlier in the Ministry of health of the Russian Federation announced the start of clinical trials of two forms of a vaccine against coronavirus, developed by the National research centre of epidemiology and Microbiology named after N. F. Gamalei. The first volunteers to be vaccinated already on June 18-19.
