A bizarre find is currently delighting users on Twitter, Reddit and Co. In a shopping center in Wilmington, Delaware (USA), construction workers discovered a rather dusty but completely preserved Burger King branch while demolishing a wall.

According to reports, the location had already been closed in 2009 because no new tenants could be found. Apparently, the decision was made to simply wall the branch in. Possibly also so that customers don’t notice anything about the demolition work.

Internet users are particularly enthusiastic about the design of the branch. The pastel-colored tables and compartments, the vintage-looking pictures on the walls, and the stacked white chairs evoked a downright retro feeling for many, especially since many of the Twitter users in 2009 were also children.

Incidentally, the look of the branch suggests that the interior design had not been worked on for a long time. As users rightly noted, it is more reminiscent of the designs from the 80s and 90s.
