Coronavirus infection tends to affect not only the patient’s lungs, but also kidneys, heart and blood vessels, declared in an interview with “Parlamentskaya Gazeta” chief epidemiologist of the Ministry of health of the Russian Federation Nikolay Briko.

“Among hospitalized patients, more than 90 percent have pneumonia, DIC-syndrome more than 50 percent, acute kidney injury is about 15% and myocardial damage — more than 20 percent,” said Briko.
