In the second quarter of 2020 the level of real incomes of the population of Russia decreased by 8%, reports TASS with reference to the research of Rosstat. It is noted that this is a record figure in the company since 2013.

We are talking about real disposable income – the amount that remains in the hands of the Russians after the payment of all bills. It turned out that in the period from April to July, people on life was to remain of money is 8% less than in the beginning of the year. Moreover, from January to March 2020 index of real income increased by 1.2%. But then began a sharp decline, which analysts attributed to the effects of quarantine measures because of the threat of the spread of coronavirus infection.

Taking into account the past six months, the experts came to the conclusion that the incomes of Russians decreased by 4%. It is expected that the final indicator to the end of the year will vary in the range of 3.8% with a minus sign.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov in conversation with journalists stressed that in the Kremlin with the results of the study Rosstat haven’t looked at, but reminded that the increase in the real income of the population is a priority of the Russian authorities.

Earlier, as reported “the Rambler”, the representatives of the insurance company “Rosgosstrakh-Life” and the scientific-technical center “Perspektiva” presented the results of a poll in which the proportion of Russians, whose average income is below 15 thousand rubles per month increased from 38,1% to 44.6% during the pandemic coronavirus infection COVID-19.
