The Deputy of legislative Assembly of Leningrad region Vladimir Petrov suggested that the head of Minpromtorg Denis Manturov to sell protective masks, gloves and sanitizer coupons: this measure considers the MP, will reduce the cost of these goods.
Petrov in his address (the text is available to RIA Novosti) writes that in the fight against coronavirus in recent weeks prices on masks, gloves, disinfectants soared to inadequate performance.
"If a pandemic to the retail price of the medical mask was 5 to 15 rubles, today, you can find rates from 50 to 300 rubles per mask. The cost of the other, drugs for personal prevention of coronavirus (sanitizer, alcohol mixture, and wipes) also increased significantly. It can be argued that in our country, especially in large cities, there is an adequate supply of these resources and goods in order to avoid a significant increase in prices", – Petrov writes.
Referring to the complaints of voters, Deputy of the Leningrad region noted that in some cities there are "pockets" speculation the listed products. According to him, "savvy traders to" buy in pharmacies and other retail outlets masks, gloves and sanitizer, and then resell them to the public at inflated prices.
"it Can be argued that such facts do not strengthen a regime of quarantine, as well as create an unnecessary atmosphere of tension, mistrust and anxiety. In this regard, I ask You to consider the possibility of introducing in the retail sale of "rationing" for the purchase of goods necessary for the prevention of infection in regions where this would make sense and would not conflict with the already adopted security measures" – offers MP.
Petrov believes that the implementation of masks, gloves and disinfectant products through personal cards, coupons will reduce their retail cost, help to overcome the "black market" and speculation, and will reduce the intensity of anxiety among the population.
