In Moscow, the number of tests for coronavirus reached one million. This was reported to journalists by the Deputy mayor of Moscow on issues of social development Anastasia Rakova.
“We continue to increase the volume of testing for coronavirus infection. To date, the city, Federal and private laboratories conducted already one million such studies. Every day the city hosts more than 40 thousand tests”, – noted Vice-the mayor.
According to her, last week in Moscow the scope of testing for coronavirus has increased two times.
Rakova said that the number of confirmed tests for coronavirus grows, the number of hospitalizations remained at the same level.
This trend suggests that Moscow has managed to reduce the risk of infection and to prevent severe consequences of the virus in patients, emphasized Vice-the mayor.
Currently, the test for the coronavirus is taken from people with symptoms of SARS. Also testing be performed in patients with pneumonia and anyone who lives with a patient with a confirmed diagnosis COVID-19. In addition, in Moscow organized the screening of employees who come into contact with residents is the medical and social workers, employees of transport, utilities, police. Testing for coronavirus are also patients of non-communicable hospitals.
