Actor Mikhail Yefremov does not consider himself a member of the opposition in spite of the provocation from journalists. About this informed the lawyer of the artist Elman Pashayev.

Earlier, lawyer Efremova reported that the actor calling Ukrainian journalists asked about the political motivation of the criminal case, as the fatal accident happened shortly before voting on the amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation. In response to Yefremov said that “neither [Russian President Vladimir] Putin, nor anyone else” didn’t ask him to sit behind the wheel of a car.

“He said to me: “What opposition? I’m an actor, I’m a clown. Tell me what you write, that’s what I told””, — quotes the words of Pashayev owned by Grigory Berezkin RBC. Yefremov stressed that has nothing against Putin.

Mikhail Efremov made a fatal accident in Central Moscow on 8 June. Then he was driving in an alcohol intoxication, his blood had traces of drugs. The court, like RT, put him under house arrest until August 9. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
