It will bring together dozens of digital projects in various fields – from smart housing and social services to high-tech business projects, and, according to the authorities, will seriously improve the quality of life in the region.

– In the strategy of development of the Rostov region decided to focus on the most promising sectors of the economy, says Governor’s adviser Anton Alekseev. – Among them industry, green energy, smart agriculture and, of course, digital technology. In the region there are many projects of special social significance – from telemedicine and digital education to the project “Digital region”. Center for digital transformation at the expense of interagency cooperation would be able to effectively monitor their implementation. He will take full responsibility for every project and practical result. Similar sites are being created today in several constituent entities of the Russian Federation. But in this “global” scale, they are not anywhere else, if not to take Moscow and Moscow region, Petersburg and several territories.

the Last few months the government of the region is actively selected and promising projects. In the end, we selected 60 most viable and interesting ideas. Each of them is unique. For example, in the direction of housing and communal services it is planned to introduce a number of innovations – from smart to intelligent intercom systems for electricity, which will save considerable amounts of public and private funds. Traffic flow management using “intelligent algorithms” will provide not only fuel economy, but will also improve the transport situation in the cities. Online monitoring of the environment will give an unbiased picture of the ecological situation and allows you to quickly eliminate the “pain points”.

Rostov oblast is the largest exporter and producer of agricultural products in Russia, so a significant part of projects is related to agriculture. Institution for the region, Donskoy state technical University jointly with “Regional development Corporation” decided to create a scientific and technological center of “Valley of the don”, which will conduct research and development work. The main areas will be digital transformation in the agro-industrial complex, the development of organic farming and technology of food industry, as well as unmanned transportation, artificial intelligence, robotics and system for monitoring the quality of crop production.

Agriculture in Russia lags significantly behind the technological level of the developed Western countries. If the gap will increase, that in 10-15 years we simply cannot compete on world markets. So we watch with interest the development of agrarian cluster, says the editor of the National agrarian Agency Dmitry Belyaev. – The IDUOM offered in the framework of the program of digitalization, sound very promising. Mostly all of them proposed by the business, it is not the schemes of bureaucrats and real-world projects that will implement leading experts in the region and the country as a whole. What will be the performance – we’ll see.

the institution also acts as the coordinator of the southern scientific-educational center “Digital transformation in the agro-industrial complex.” According to the rector of DGTU Besarion Meskhi, the program South of the REC is being developed jointly with experts of the Moscow school of management SKOLKOVO and other educational, scientific organisations, businesses and regional authorities. Participation in the ERC have already confirmed all the universities of the region, as well as some of the largest companies: Rostselmash, Rostvertol, Beriev. G. M. Beriev, the company “Steppe”, the plant “TAGMET” and so on. It is planned that this year the Governor will present the project to the government.

a Very perspective projects in education and medicine. For example, state telemedicine. In partnership with Sberbank and Rostelecom, the local authorities successfully conducted the first test months of operation of the system. In April doctors gave Volgodonsk remotely five thousand consultations. Usually people from the provinces to get to the hospital difficult. Now they get an initial consultation from the comfort of home. It does not replace usual medical advice, but allows you to dramatically save both time and resources as hospitals, and patients. Usually, the doctor remotely can answer basic questions, put the most likely diagnosis, immediately sent for tests and so on.

Considering the model of the digital University, and special educational programs in e-Commerce and even a special accelerator for business. By the way, a few years ago on the initiative of the Governor in the region has opened “the southern IT Park” (the accelerator for projects in the sphere of high technologies), and in a few years there came dozens of successful start-UPS nationwide and even international scale.

– In the Rostov region a large number of universities that produce specialists of world level, which appear later in major European projects in Silicon valley and so on. But no IT-Park, it was a separate “stars”. Few people understood how the overall VC industry, and didn’t think it at all possible to do in the province, and the most promising guys left, says the founder of the project “Rostov IT-community” Trofim Jugastru. For several years, “the southern IT Park” helped deliver dozens of projects, many of them have grown to national and even international level. Now another IT cluster will be established in Taganrog. And it the perfect solution, as there are many serious technical universities, where every year there are dozens of top professionals.

– it is Now essential to deploy long-term planning that we not only understand how to overcome the current “coronavirus crisis” but also saw prospects for the future, – said the Governor Vasily Golubev. – Today, all the proposed projects are interesting, no one idea should not be abandoned. Was applied and things, and those whose implementation is a more distant prospect. Importantly they create the conditions so Rostov oblast became a region leader. This is our key goal and we have everything you need.
