Gloria-Sophie Burkandt leaves the Junge Union. The daughter of CSU boss Markus Söder wants to be politically neutral and believes that her father will in a way even be happy that she no longer wants to be a party member.

Markus Söder’s daughter Gloria-Sophie Burkandt has left the Junge Union, the youth organization of the CDU and CSU. She said that on the sidelines of a Mallorca party by celebrity broker Marcel Remus to “Bild am Sonntag”.

“I left the Junge Union,” says Burkandt, explaining her exit as follows. “I want to be politically neutral and get off to a flying start as a model.” Apparently, the 23-year-old is hoping for more lucrative orders.

Burkandt does not believe that her father Markus Söder, chairman of the CSU and Prime Minister of Bavaria, will be angry – on the contrary. “My father will be glad when he no longer has to pay for me.”
