How did you react when you heard the news about the choice of Kazan?

Natalia Vodianova Jumped for joy. My whole family is happy. This is a huge victory! The dream to which we went for many years, but which I personally was afraid to believe, not to jinx it until the very last moment, has become a reality! I’m so happy that for the first time in history, Russia will become a country of holding the World winter Games Special Olympics.

what, In your opinion, the importance of the upcoming event?

Natalia Vodianova First of all, that is a huge step forward for building an inclusive culture in Russia. Today, special Olympics is more than sports with seconds and records. These Games are much broader – they embody the true Olympic values, demonstrate courage, help athletes and their families to receive a portion of positive emotions, to discover their talents and have a great time. The event will show the special people that they have much more in common with the world than differences. This is a great time when they are at the top of Olympus and become the protagonists of an equal struggle. And, of course, a society looking at people with disabilities, is beginning to change, and ultimately justice and tolerance will prevail.
