Quarantine went into decline, and with the convenience of the clothes want to leave. And the designers clearly caught this trend, picked up and developed. Designer, founder of her fashion House and brand L-alix Collection Irina alikova told the Explorer, “RG”, as the pandemic has affected the clothes we began to choose for themselves.

Irina whether the pandemic has changed our choice and we moved to the side of comfortable wear – athletic or pajama style?

Irina alikova: of Course, the pandemic affected. Our clothes have changed and the approach to it too – we become more selective in terms of convenience and comfort. But, of course, the beauty has not been canceled. And so brands now picked up this direction and fighting for the attention of the consumer. And if there were sports things, the bias comes not in a clean sport, and the sports glamour. Pajamas that came into Vogue even before the pandemic became a hit. As a General principle – supply of things became such that, feeling her house is very comfortable, you can wear it on the street.

Sleepwear and combinations really were popular to the quarantine. But then there was a boom. And the starry slumber parties, and a photo in “Instagram”, such as “my silk quarantine”…

Irina alikova: once Alexander Vasilyev, our fashion guru, and this was 1999, gave a lecture where he said that in the future jobs people have at home. In fashion are things like pajamas, nightgowns and others. I remember that his passage, but at the moment does not give it value. And suddenly it all appeared today on the runways and then came to life. I remember the moment as it only became fashionable with us: people came from Italy, where I bought these things, came to them through us customs and was greeted by the surprised looks of the other passengers who are not conversant with the fashion trends. Now, of course, got used to it, and the thing itself is so established that never goes out of fashion already which season. And so this trend holds. In General, after a pandemic fashion has become the home: in the course of pajamas, shirts, bathrobes. The latter is the star attraction tonight and it will last a very long time. For example, for a vintage party today you will come in the same costume-pajamas or robe of velvet and will be accepted on hurrah!

And velvet fashion only for women or for men too?

Irina alikova: for both men and women. Fashion – good or bad – becomes the outside of the floor. For example, clothes-oversized (more on some sizes) are present in the collections for men and women. It is beneficial to the manufacturer, requiring little development on the patterns, so will last a long time. Or take the subject of shirts. Because right now, after the pandemic, we fell in love with shirt dresses. Convenient! Made of cotton, silk or leather. Even oakankah we see fit shirting, and even in fur.

But we think about the environment…

Irina alikova: Yes, this is a serious topic. In the West belong to it strictly. Not to kill animals, development of new fabrics made with the use of nanotechnology, which is indistinguishable from the natural furs even at close range. In thermal characteristics too. It’s the whole direction of smart textiles that are able to respond to low temperature and contribute to the conservation of heat in our body. These developments open a new phase in the life of fashion, a new revolution. Japan in the production of new products – in the first place, because it is strong in nanotechnology. But in our country understand the importance of such developments. And we have, I believe, with young scientists will make a breakthrough in our fashion too. At least I care about novelties in fabrics that will protect people and serve for his health. And I’m open to cooperation in this direction.

Fabric for human health is that which we measure the temperature?

Irina alikova: When we say “smart fabric”, we mean tissue, which serve for the comfort of our body. For example, fabrics with special metallic threads which normalize the pressure of a person. This tissue can store form, metallic threads obedient, to work with them easily. Is the fabric useful for the person spraying, treating, warm, cool and so on. Scientists can tell more specifically, I’m talking from the point of view of the consumer, designer, person who is very much in favour of such a future soon came and our country was this in front of everyone.

There are fabrics that protect from harmful UV rays, overheating and other harmful effects. Perhaps in the future we will move in these capsules (shells) that will protect us from a dangerous environment. In the meantime, wear coats, long dresses, jumpsuits, who will protect us from harmful rays, germs, viruses. Or, for example, clothing that contains hyaluronic acid and will protect and defend our lokotochki. Ahead of designers waiting for the collective creativity of scientists. Co-creation, team work. I am now standing on the threshold of founding his school. I wanted to do a project with young designers from Russia, who are ready to work on the clothes of the future.

A mask? Now look at girls walking on the street, they have masks own or designer is made of silk, of gauze. That is, they do not perform a protective function only for the beauty…

Irina alikova: masks Have a very long history, they had long since regained his place in casual clothes. We see this in the example of China, Korea, and other AZAsian countries. And now it has come down to us. The mask as a fashion item already happened. Anywhere from it not to go. No, and we’ll go back to it. Have all the designers responded to that. Here I would like to warn consumers of the mask is made of fabric that does not “breathe”, do not wear in principle. It is very harmful for health, however beautiful the mask may be. I would, for example, even introduced certification of all masks, especially stitched as accessories, because it’s all people’s health.
