German carmaker Audi breaks the contract about cooperation with TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak, who was the Ambassador of the brand in Russia, because of alleged racist statements in social networks. This was announced on Wednesday, the Agency DPA with reference to the representative of the group of Werner Neuhold.
"Audi strongly rejects all forms of racism and discrimination, as it is inconsistent with our corporate culture" – said the company.
It noted that Audi may immediately terminate the contract with Sobchak.
According to the publication Business Insider, the reason was that the presenter spoke critically about the protests of the movement Black Lives Matter ("black Lives have value") in your account in Instagram. The group worked with Sobchak for about eight years.
