According to information from the “Bild” newspaper, Boris Becker (54) is said to have been transferred within Wandsworth prison. He was taken to a solitary cell in the Trinity Wing, reportedly the most comfortable place in Wandsworth.

“Trinity has a slightly more relaxed supervision, where prisoners have more opportunities to leave their cells. For example, to work, to educate yourself, to do sports and to socialize,” describes journalist Chris Atkins, who was imprisoned in Wandsworth for several months, in the report.

Atkins says he himself has done seven jobs at Trinity. “This included running the cash register, handing out slips of paper with visitor information, and handing them out in the canteen (the prison store). You can also work in the food service, in the library and in the laundry. I also helped out in the education department.”

According to Atkins, Trinity has a somewhat more relaxed supervision, where prisoners have more opportunities to leave their cells.

Boris Becker is said to have previously complained that he was claustrophobic in prison and therefore asked the warden to leave the door open.
