Deputy Prime Minister for reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov in the local television said that the Minsk agreement is largely irrelevant, his words RIA “news”.
“About the Minsk agreement I even quote Mrs (German Chancellor Angela) Merkel, they are not set in stone. Today they do not correspond to the realities in which Ukraine was, when was the agreement as a political and legal agreement. Because today the time stipulated in the Minsk agreement — 2014-2015 — has expired, and implement the Minsk agreement”, — said Reznikov.
In mid-June, the head of the foreign Ministry of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba said that “the Minsk process on the settlement of the conflict died, and kept on the German-French ventilator”. However, the diplomat confirmed that he is ready for dialogue with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.
The complex of measures on implementation of Minsk agreements on the settlement of the situation in the Donbas, which was signed at the summit, “Norman four” in February 2015, involves an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire, withdrawal of heavy weapons, the creation of a security zone, discussion of the modalities for the resumption of payments of benefits and pensions to residents of the breakaway Donetsk and Lugansk national republics, as well as constitutional reform in Ukraine, the result of which should be deep decentralization of public administration. One of the main points of the political package is to provide the Donbass special status.
