Hidden details: Shortly before the last match day of the Bundesliga season, Borussia Dortmund presents the new home jersey for the coming season. The special thing about it: The alternating yellow and black stripes, which have a cut-out in the middle that is supposed to symbolize the window of the “Zum Wildschütz” inn, where BVB was founded on December 19, 1909.
Old and new: According to a statement on Dortmund’s website, the jersey should unite “tradition and modernity” and “past with present”. So the club would swing “more than 100 years later” from the cradle of BVB to Signal Iduna Park.
