(Fanø, Denmark) Thousands of kites soar in the strong North Sea winds just off the west coast of Denmark during the Fanø International Kite Festival.
This event is one of the largest kite festivals in the world, attracting thousands of visitors, as well as 25 Chinese kite makers.
“We invited 25 manufacturers because China is the birthplace of kites and we are the biggest kite festival in the world. So we think this is the year we want to show the world how Chinese kites are made,” said festival organizer Poul Therkelsen.
