yesterday the President of Russia Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the government expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that a quarter of Russian schools are not ready for the organization of hot meals for elementary school students. He instructed to analyze the situation and identify solutions to this problem.
Deputies should not only know about such issues in their constituencies, but also to help solve them, – said Vyacheslav Volodin, who was quoted by the press service of GD.
He noted that members are constantly monitoring the preparation of legal acts ensuring implementation of the rules on free hot meals for primary school children. Also check the willingness of the regions. The working group on parliamentary control over the provision of hot meals was created when the state Duma Committee on education and science.
Our common goal is that this year schools received funding, while children from classes 1 to 4 – free quality hot meals, – said the speaker.
He also recalled that the parliamentary Commission on redistribution of budgetary appropriations at its last meeting has approved the allocation of funds for the 58 regions for these purposes. “After changing criteria, the Commission will promptly be determined with the allocation of subsidies to the remaining regions”, – said Volodin.
As previously stated to the President, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, decided to change the rules for the provision of Federal funds to the regions for organization of hot meals. Those regions that previously could not claim it, will receive a grant this year. Its size will be calculated based on the number of schools that are ready to provide hot meals, and the number of pupils of initial classes. For this purpose, according to the calculations of the Cabinet, will have to allocate about 39 billion rubles for three years.
