In the draft of the resolution on increase of the amount of the loan at a discounted mortgage at an interest rate of 6.5% per annum, which is prepared by the Finance Ministry, the size of the credit in Moscow, Moscow region and Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad region should not exceed 12 million rubles, and in other regions – 6 million rubles. The document has already been submitted for consideration to the government.

“the Program of the Ministry of Finance will affect the loans that banks will be given until November 1, 2020 to purchase housing in new buildings. The initial payment shall be not less than 15% of the cost of housing. The difference between 6.5% and that will pay borrowers, and the market mortgage rate banks will reimburse the state. Rate of 6.5% applies to the entire term loan” – quoted Moses, the press service of the Ministry of Finance.

According to the Deputy Minister, the program will expand the ability of citizens to acquire housing in new buildings and will be a great help for those who need better housing conditions. Moses noted that people can buy under this program, more expensive housing, but then the amount of the initial fee will be increased at the expense of their funds.

a New state program of preferential mortgage for the purchase of new housing at a rate to 6.5% per annum began in April. By its original settings, the maximum amount of home loan to Moscow, the Moscow region, St.-Petersburg and Leningrad region amounted to 8 million rubles, and for other regions – 3 million rubles. On Tuesday, President Vladimir Putin proposed to increase these amounts to 12 million rubles, and 6 million, respectively.
