the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin awarded the military rank of the Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov the decree No. 478 dated 22 July 2020.
“I took the news about the decision, as expected by the Charter on the rack “quietly”. During the telephone conversation, the President himself read a decree and congratulated me on this event, wished further success”, – said Ramzan Kadyrov on his page in the social network. I can say that Kadyrov has established itself at the forefront of the fight against terrorism in the North Caucasus, so awarding him the title of major-General is a natural and justified decision. The North Caucasus is a complicated conflict region, there is often a problem situation, and Ramzan Kadyrov promptly cope with them, – said Korotchenko. – I believe that this decision will strengthen the Russian vertical of power in the North Caucasus, and it is absolutely legitimate – is the recognition and confirmation of the military merits of Kadyrov, but he is a strongman with a lot of experience in this field.

“I have always said and I repeat that you are a loyal foot soldier of our President, ready to obey his orders most of increased complexity on every continent.
