The Supreme court of Russia has registered the administrative appeal contesting the presidential decree on holding the 1 July vote on the amendments to the Constitution, Interfax reported.

It is reported that the lawsuit filed by Rudyak Gennady Ivanovich, Respondent is the President Vladimir Putin.

After studying the judge will decide whether to take it to production.

As informs Agency, June 10 the Supreme court has rejected a similar claim.

A nationwide vote on the country’s basic law is scheduled for 1 July. Originally it was planned for 22 April, but was postponed because of the pandemic coronavirus. Residents of Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod region will be able to participate in distance voting.

The attorney General Igor Krasnov said that prosecutors will rigidly react to attempts of violation of the electoral legislation.
