American Academy thought about the transfer of the 93rd ceremony of awarding the prize “Oscar” because of the pandemic coronavirus. This is with reference to sources in the organization Wednesday, may 20, according to Variety.

“it is Very likely that the Oscars will take,” said one of the sources.

However, according to him, the possible new date for the ceremony has not yet been discussed. Currently, the presentation of the Oscars is scheduled for February 28, 2021.

Also stresses that the final decision is still pending. The source broadcasts the ceremony “Oscars” of the television company ABC noticed that her date is not changed.

Previously, the American Academy had to announce changes to the rules for selecting films for the “Oscar” due to the closure of cinemas in a pandemic coronavirus.
