Communication device having only 512 MB of RAM will not receive access to mobile Google services.

Google has released a new technical requirements for smartphones, saying that devices with less than 512 megabytes of RAM in the eleventh version of Android will not have access to mobile Google services. Their list includes an app store, YouTube, maps, and other services.

The document also notes that smartphones with two or less gigabytes of RAM will not work on a fully fledged version of Android, and lightweight Android Go.

Any new Android device 10 from the end of 2020 will be mandatory to ship with Android Go. In the case that the device was manufactured before the specified date, the manufacturer may use the standard version of Android.
