Nemanja Midow: coronavirus Pandemic has not spared anyone party, including athletes. All were forced to isolate themselves. Fortunately, I’ve got a gym that allows me to systematically train. In this struggle, I almost did. Full training in judo require multiple partners for sparring, which I do in everyday life 6. But in terms of pandemic, I was merely fights with my brother Stefan Mailowym, who is also a successful judoka, and once a day for exercise spent weight training at the gym.

I Can honestly say I’m even slightly tired of relaxing and lightweight graphics, and on the other hand the life of every professional athlete is a kind of permanent quarantine. I’m also in everyday life not a lot of time to party and have fun, spending most of their time in training. Can I also point out the positive fact that the restrictive measures allowed me to spend significant time in the circle of my family, which previously I could not afford.

In my opinion, we especially have to thank the authorities of Republika Srpska and the Serb member of the presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik, on time and in full to adequately respond to the threat posed by the coronavirus, which allowed to avoid difficult consequences. In addition, the important for us Serbs became aid from Russia, which once again demonstrated a special attitude to the Serbian people.

ljubiša Midow: the Appearance COVID-19 was a surprise to us, made major changes to our plans, including in the framework of preparations for the Olympic games in Tokyo. Full training was abruptly terminated. However, it should be noted that in a similar situation sportsmens worldwide. In this regard, we have focused on maximum physical recovery treatment for the earlier injury to optimum shape to resume full training.

I would like to thank Russia for helping in the fight against COVID-19, which were not only Russian military specialists and physicians, but also of the Russian humanitarian mission. We have a long historical and cultural ties with Russia. Russians and Serbs are one people, brothers. We particularly experience relevant to the increased incidence in the regions of Russia from this infection. And, of course, if it were in our power, we would have the help they need.

Recall that Nemanja Midow in international competitions in Hungary “Budapest-2017” won the title of world champion in judo, in 2019, won the bronze medal at the elite international tournament “masters” in China and was recognized as the best athlete of Belgrade. In turn Loveand Midov was recognized by the European judo Union (EJU) the best coach in the sport in 2019 has received the highest recognition in his native Republika Srpska (part of Bosnia and Herzegovina). 4 Mar legendary Serbian sports club “Crvena Zvezda” was a milestone 75th birthday, traditionally encouraging the success of their most distinguished representatives: for the first time in the history of the organization’s best athlete and coach was recognized as the father and the son Midova.
