The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov will hold trilateral talks with the foreign Ministers of China and India on June 23, reports TASS. The meeting will be held via videoconference.

The meeting between the Ministers was to be held in March in Sochi, but it was postponed due to the pandemic. Then the sides agreed to hold talks in the format of a videoconference, however, because of the situation on the Sino-Indian border talks was once again on the verge of collapse. In the end the parties agreed to hold trilateral talks on June 23.

One of the Central themes of the talks will be the consolidation of the efforts of countries to counter the crisis phenomena in world politics and Economics. It is noted that the meeting will be held on the eve of the Victory day parade, which will be attended by Indian and Chinese units, and guests of the celebrations will be the defense Ministers of India and China.

Also, it is reported that the recent incident on the India-China border is not on the agenda of this meeting. However, the willingness of both sides to sit at the same negotiating table is talking about de-escalate the situation.
