Immediately after the start of quarantine MAD Company launched the MAD Lab – an online laboratory that allows artists, choreographers and musicians to engage in creative search, without leaving home. The first major project of the laboratory was the restart of the ballet Infinita Frida are available in two formats-safe.

the Rehearsal and shooting digital ballet took place in different locations: in the dance Studio in St. Petersburg, at the cottage near Great Novgorod, in the Moscow kopeck piece, in the large living room of an apartment building in Berlin. the Idea of the ballet was born in 2012. Then the choreographer Yuri Smekalov spent several months in rehab in Germany due to injury. Dance career was in jeopardy. To support a friend, spouse ELISA Carrillo Cabrera and Mikhail Kaniskin – prima ballerina and Premier of the State ballet Berlin – invited to stage a ballet about Frida Kahlo – artist, which they say today that the isolation she was sentenced to the disease.
In 2013, the homeland of Frida, Mexico, world premiere of the stage version of the ballet with the support of the Fund “Eliza Carillo Cabrera”. Russian premiere took place in 2015 at the historic Alexandrinsky theatre. And in 2020, in a moment of total crisis, MAD Company again turned to the history of Frida Kahlo and created a ballet with the international team, despite the need for everyone to stay home.
