In September, Russia can earn Federal register of citizens who are entitled to free medicines. This was stated by the Deputy of the state Duma Committee on health, Alexander Petrov during the press-conference “Russia Today”, devoted to cancer. He explained that such a register will allow for the first time in the history of to calculate the exact number of patients with rare diseases, and financing which is necessary for their treatment. According to the MP, this bill has already passed second reading.

the Legislator also recalled that from 1 July launched marking system of medicines established to monitor the movement of medicines. According to him, before the labelling was a lot of gray, like when the drugs were written off in hospitals, and then went to the competition in other cities. He stressed that the system will allow you to control the focus movement of medicines purchased for the account of budget, expenses on their acquisition, besides, will protect the legal market from counterfeit products, will provide citizens with qualitative and safe medicines. According to the MP, using the marking will be monitored and also the continuity for the issuance of medications at transition of the patient from clinic to hospital, from hospital and back.

“This system we will track through labelling of products and simplify the system of issuing drugs,” he said.

the MP stressed that all these measures will make it more effective costs that are allocated to the fight against cancer within the framework of the Federal project.

At the same time the chief oncologist of the Ministry of health Andrey Kaprin stressed that of great importance in the treatment of cancer is identifying malignant tumors in early stages.

“It’s important enough, and carried out a complex of measures on introduction of screening programs and conducting health examination of the population in 2019 has enabled us not only to reach the target value, but greatly affect the reduction of mortality from neoplasms in future periods,” explained the doctor.
