After the break between Matthias Ginter and Borussia Mönchengladbach, the new sports director Roland Virkus is now on the offensive and accuses the ex-player of dishonest behavior.
The accusation: Borussia Mönchengladbach’s sports director Roland Virkus reacts to critical statements by Matthias Ginter. The Bald Freiburger had complained in a podcast about the way the club was treating him. Accordingly, his sale had already been planned and there were only alibi offers from the club.
Disappointment. At a press conference, Virkus was disappointed with Ginter’s behavior: “I have learned in life never to speak badly of other people and never badly of the old employer. You do not do that. And I clearly told Matze that.”
Taking leave. Ginter leaves the club for Freiburg in the summer. It is unlikely that he will be in the squad for Saturday’s game against Hoffenheim. Coach Adi Hütter did not want to comment on the line-up or Ginter’s allegations.
