Six Russian communication satellites “Gonets-M” is scheduled to be launched before the end of 2020, RIA Novosti reported citing a source in the space industry.
It is noted that to launch the three spacecraft on the carrier rocket “Soyuz-2.1 b” is the upper stage “Fregat”. They will be sent from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in September. The second run is scheduled either November or December.
According to the interlocutor of the Agency, along with “Messenger-M” will be sent to Russian and foreign small satellites.
In March 2019, RIA Novosti, citing a source in the space industry, said that the launch from the Plesetsk cosmodrome three Russian communication satellites “Gonets-M” moved from may to June due to the lack of control equipment of the Ukrainian production.
