Todd Boehly, the new Chelsea FC owner, is working on Ousmane Dembélé’s free transfer – while at the same time he wants to get rid of Romelu Lukaku.

Striker swap planned at Chelsea: Striker conversion at Chelsea. The exceedingly expensive Romelu Lukaku is set to disappear from the payroll and go back to Inter. Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembélé should switch to London for this – and free of charge. New owner Todd Boehly and trainer Thomas Tuchel see Dembélé as a cheap Lukaku replacement. But how can winger Dembélé replace striker Lukaku?

Short, compact, clear

Werner back in the storm center? According to the English “Express”, Timo Werner would move back to the center of the storm if Lukaku were to leave. In this way, Werner’s place on the left wing is free for Dembélé – the “Blues” offensive would be repositioned inexpensively.

Dembélé and Tuchel – that worked before: Dembélé played one of his most successful seasons at Borussia Dortmund as a left wing under the then BVB coach Tuchel. Werner scored 24 points as a sole striker two years ago in his debut season for Chelsea. Both should like the new offensive plan of the “Blues”.
