On a stretch of 23 kilometers have 10 stations.
On separate sites Biryulevskaya metro line is being designed with construction of tunnels at a depth of 30 meters and more. This depth is provided when passing under residential areas, the Moscow river and the intersection with the Zamoskvoretskaya line, said chief architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov.
“Thus, it is safe to say that inhabitants of nearby houses will not feel the discomfort associated with both the tunnel construction and subsequent operation of line,” he explained.
Biryulevskaya subway line is projected from the station ZIL Moscow Central ring (ICC) in the districts of Biryulyovo Vostochnoye and Biryulyovo Zapadnoye. On a stretch of 23 kilometers will accommodate 10 stations with such working titles as “ZIL”, “Technopark”, “Maple Avenue”, Kur’yanovo, “MOSKVORECH’e”, “the Caucasian Boulevard”, “6-I Radial street”, “Lipetsk”, “Biryulevo” and “Biryulyovo-Passenger”. The line will pass through the territories of several districts, among which Danilovskiy, Nagatinsky Zaton, moskvoreche-Saburovo, Printers, Tsaritsyno, Biryulyovo Vostochnoye and Biryulyovo Zapadnoye.
According to the Deputy Director of the Institute of Moscow city master plan Igor Bakhirev, the construction of new metro line will significantly improve transport services for the southern part of Moscow.
“Biruliovsky line will increase the carrying capacity of the metro system, will unload the existing Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya and the Zamoskvoretskaya line, and also reduce the load on the road network, which has a positive impact on the ecology of the southern districts of the capital”, — he stressed.
Biryulevskaya metro line will connect the Great circle line from the Eastern and Western Biryulyovo, as well as with New. The first section starts in the former industrial zone “ZIL”, it will be possible to make a connection with the Moscow Central ring. Then the train goes to Prospekt Andropova. In addition, the design of the station at the former ZIL builders will provide working stubs. Persist the possibility of extending the Biryulyovo branches towards the center.
The next segment will be made under the Moscow river to Nagatinsky Zaton and will connect with the station a Large ring line “Maple Avenue”, and after a stretch of Tsaritsyn (the station is scheduled to open near the same apartment complex). Biryulyovo East metro station will be part of the transport interchange hub at the Lipetsk street, in the Western Biryulyovo will be located in the area Vostryakovsky passage.
In the future, the new line could reach Shcherbinka. According to preliminary calculations, its length will be 25 kilometers.
