The German kitchen manufacturer rational einbauküchen solutions GmbH has filed for insolvency. As reported by “Unternehmer Edition”, a total failure had previously caused considerable damage to the IT servers, leading to irreparable data loss. According to the insolvency administrator Pluta Rechtsanwalts GmbH, production is currently on hold due to the total failure of the server systems.

The kitchen company from Osnabrück, which was founded in 1963, currently employs around 64 people. The manufacturer’s range includes kitchens in various designs and with different technical equipment. The production itself is carried out by an externally commissioned company. The kitchens are sold nationwide and internationally in about 50 countries.

Despite insolvency proceedings, the company is to be continued for the time being. “Together with the management and the highly qualified workforce, we will look for solutions as quickly as possible so that a future solution can be found for the traditional company after the unavoidable interruption of sales, planning, production and sales,” says the insolvency administrator Stefan Meyer from Pluta.
