A shark attacked an Australian resident and bit off his hand. Despite the efforts of doctors, it was not possible to save the man, and he died on the morning of September 5, writes The Sydney Morning Herald.

The attack was recorded on Shelly Beach, which is located on the north coast of New South Wales. Local surfers and other beach visitors rushed to help the vacationer. On the shore, four medical teams fought for the man’s life, but their efforts did not bring results. According to available data, the deceased was about 30 years old.

Earlier it was reported that a 19-year-old student Sofia Scroggi from the American city of Boca Raton, Florida, was attacked by sharks and almost lost her arm during a family trip to the Bahamas.
