the Former midfielder, “Zenit” and Russian national team Andrey Arshavin has told that early in his career he could be in “Spartacus”. He said this on air of TV channel “Match TV”.

According to Arshavin, the transition in the Moscow club fell through due to the unwillingness of then-President “Spartaka” Andrey Chervichenko to pay 50-60 thousand euros.

“Not that I dreamed of “Spartacus”, but at that moment in Zenith, I had a showdown with the contract. And Tishkov – he was then my agent said: “If you want, that “Spartak” is interested”. We went to meet with Chervichenko in the office of the club, but not agreed. He regretted 50-60 thousand euros. Don’t regret not having passed in “Spartacus” – said Arshavin.

Andrew Also spoke about the interest from Barcelona in the summer of 2008. Then “Zenith” has refused to release its leader in the Catalan club, but in the winter of 2009 the Russian moved to Arsenal.

“When I was interested in Barcelona, Zenit supposedly sent them replied that they were willing to trade me just for Messi. Don’t know how true this is, but the fact is – wouldn’t let me in “Barcelona” – said Arshavin.
