LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky on Wednesday urged residents of the Khabarovsk region to support Mikhail Degtyarev, who was appointed acting head of the region after the arrest and resignation of former Governor Sergey Furgala.
"I take this opportunity to appeal to residents of the Khabarovsk territory, so they supported the new head of the region", – said Zhirinovsky in his speech following the report, Prime Minister Mikhail mishustina.
He stressed that in the liberal democratic party "with respect for Sergei Ivanovich Furgala for his governmental work".
"I do not take the story that there was a long time ago, 15 years ago. The outcome of all judicial investigations and, maybe it somehow will be closed. But while the region should develop, the Manager must be in place", – said the leader of the liberal Democrats.
July 9, Furgal was detained in Khabarovsk and transferred to Moscow. During the six hours of questioning, he was charged, guilt is not admitted. Basmanny court arrested him until September 9.
As reported by the official representative SK the Russian Federation Svetlana Petrenko, according to the investigation, Furgal involved in the killings and the attempted murder of entrepreneurs, committed by an organized criminal group in 2004-2005 in the territory of the Khabarovsk territory and Amur region. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday signed a decree on the resignation Furgala as head of the Khabarovsk territory in connection with loss of trust. On Tuesday, he resigned.
