Russia hopes that European countries will not weaken the attention in the fight against coronavirus, and warns against the hasty abolition of restrictions on movement. This was stated on Wednesday at a briefing the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
"once again I would like to stress that we are still talking about statements of intent. Considering the steps of the European partners towards the restoration movement, I hope that the neighbors will not weaken attention to problems of the effectiveness against novel coronavirus infection. I remind you of the excessive haste in easing of the quarantine restrictions continues to warn world health organization", – said Zakharov.
Earlier, the European Commission (EC) has urged all EU countries to open internal borders by June 15. In addition, the EC recommended to begin a phased opening of the external borders on 1 July.
