Turkey to openly take part in the settlement of the conflict in Libya after the Government of national consensus (NTC) headed by Faiz Barragem signed a defense agreement with Ankara. On Saturday, July 4, according to TV channel “al-Hadas”.

It is noted that the agreement was signed in Tripoli during the visit of Turkish politicians — defense Minister Hulusi Akari and also the head of the General staff of the armed forces Yasar Guler. According to the new document, Turkey has the right to place on the territory of Libya military base and all of its military personnel will be granted diplomatic status.

In addition, Turkish advisers and the military will have immunity from prosecution, Ankara — the legal authority to protect the NTC. Thanks to the agreement Turkey allowed to participate in the formation of a new military intelligence Agency, as well as security structures for Turkish companies in Libya.

In the near future Turkey will significantly expand the combat capabilities in an Arab country, the newspaper notes.

On 3 July, the representative of ruling party of justice and development of Turkey Omer Celik said that the crimes of the supporters of the Libyan national army (LNA) led by field Marshal Khalifa the Haftarot were committed in the country in complicity with France. According to him, France was involved in “crimes against humanity” in Libya, as now distanciruemsa from happening.

On June 30, Turkish foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that France is “playing into the hands” of Russia in North Africa.
