When the Tretyakov gallery opens doors to visitors?

Zelfira Tregulova: Not before 2-3 July. The first will open the main exhibition halls in the building in Lavrushinsky lane and the corps of engineers. With regard to the building on the Crimean shaft, the permanent exhibition halls will be opened simultaneously with the premiere of the exhibition “NEVSEGDA. 1968-1985”. We need to organize the passage of the audience so as not to be colliding with each other flows. This is possible if the exhibition and the main exhibition are United by a common route. We need to divide the entrance and exit. Spectators enter at one point and go in the other.

the only Entrance in masks and gloves?

Zelfira Tregulova: Yes, visitors should be wearing masks, gloves. In this we adhere to the recommendations of Roskomnadzor. Consider the experience of the Western museums opened the doors for spectators. Will be put on the entrance of vending machines selling the masks at cost.

We also go mainly for sale of tickets online to avoid the crowds in the queue. But for exceptional cases in each building of the Tretyakov gallery will work on-duty cashier. We leave some reserve of tickets for sale at the Central ticket office. Because there are people who find it difficult to buy tickets online, but who really wants to get to the Tretyakov gallery after three and a half months of a strict regime of isolation.

in addition, to implement the recommendations of Roskomnadzor, which define the required security distance 1.5-2 meters between people, enter the login sessions. Now doing the calculations, how many people can be in the given range. We have to limit the number of visitors. In other words, even if we had today an exhibition of Repin, Serov or, we could make the number of applicants.

how many starts a new session?

Zelfira Tregulova: People can go on purchased tickets every 15 minutes.

you can then remain indefinitely?

Zelfira Tregulova: Yes. The session time is not limited, unlike the number of visitors. We will monitor the flow of visitors in the halls. If people are going to be very delayed, will have to wait for those who want to enter the hall. On the other hand, to create a queue – more dangerous.

we Have a bottleneck – the bottleneck – input area. When people are in the halls, throngs of spectators already there. Our task is to build up the logistics. In the main building in Lavrushinsky lane we planned the route, closing the passages between some rooms. To get to them will be moving in the same direction. In the building on Krymsky Val is even easier – it is easier to go forward than to return.

But still love to wander through the exhibition, wanting to compare works by authors…

Zelfira Tregulova: well, differ the same people on the sidewalks.

Markings on the floor will not?

Zelfira Tregulova: In the halls – no. Markup – only where there can be a large crowd of people. Is the cash register, storage for umbrellas and bags, booth administrator, toilets.

it is Very important to find the “antiquity” solutions to familiar things. For example, the banquettes in the halls. They need it – people get tired, must be able to sit down. But we have to somehow come up with, so they do not sit close to each other. Like the little things. But as you know, the devil is in the details.

the Tours?

Zelfira Tregulova: We were allowed a short tour up to five people. We will use the necessary equipment, including disposable earphones. It is clear that we will not require members of families that parents and children kept at a distance of two meters from each other.

all These rules are particularly important for the main exhibition halls in the Lavrushinsky lane, where the summer is traditionally a lot of people. This year we are not waiting for foreign tourists, but they usually make up only 12 percent of our visitors. Russian tourists will begin likely to come before the end of July – beginning of August. In any case, larger groups will not.

ticket Prices will not grow?

Zelfira Tregulova: of Course not. Ticket prices will not increase. The situation is complicated right now.

Employees will also work in masks and gloves?

Zelfira Tregulova: Yes. Especially when talking about the administrators, the supervisors of tickets, the security personnel, the Museum caretakers. Plus the special plastic walls. To ensure the safety of employees is one of priorities. Though, probably, the requirement to wear gloves, it is difficult to perform in the summer.

What is the life of the online Museum is going to bring with you when you exit the lockdown?

Zelfira Tregulova: the Museum was ready to make a breakthrough in the development of digital format. But to make he was forced to the pandemic. That is, there would be no happiness, Yes the misfortune has helped. It became obvious that the people trapped in the walls of the apartment, not to attract a monotonous story of the guide. Had to “enable creativity”. Our employees have created and the quests and tours, and lectures.

And some even starred in the film together with Sergei Shnurov.

Zelfira Tregulova: I think we found the new format or if you like, a new way of conversation with the audience. A dialogue between two spectators in front of a work of art turns into “a conversation for three.” Paintings, as in the film “the Tretyakov gallery with a Cord” become equal interlocutors. Not an occasion for small talk, and its key participants. In this dispute, exchange of opinions can suddenly help to see new features in the well known.

a Conversation for three – a new genre?

Zelfira Tregulova: Not the genre. What is the immediate process of perception works, the understanding and interpretation of it in the eyes of the honest public live. In any case, I’m glad we managed to captivate the audience. This format was incredibly popular. A week ago it was 900 000 views. Now it is probably under a million.

In General, attendance to all the online resources of the Tretyakov gallery has grown significantly over these three months. Somewhere three, five, somewhere in seven times. Talking about views, not about visits to the website.

About the continuation of the film with Sergei Shnurov think?

Zelfira Tregulova: Yes, but in the halls of the Tretyakov gallery on the Crimean shaft. We are negotiating with potential partners and sponsors.

This is the main result of the Museum’s isolation?

Zelfira Tregulova: Not only that. The rest relate to electronic document management, remote access, use the zoom conferences… I have to sing our IT Department, who all carried on their shoulders.

15 June open – even online – a common project of the three museums “moving Point”. It involves the Garage, the Tretyakov gallery and the Moscow Museum. Why is it important for you participation in this project?

Zelfira Tregulova: Because art is for a child – any – incredibly important. This emotion, the meeting with the new world, a chance to socialize, to learn something, to open something new and unknown for myself.

the Children of migrant workers who live with parents in Moscow, is no exception. The only difference is that they are many times more difficult. When we began talking with representatives of the funds, which deal with problems of migration and forced migration, then it turned out that these children often do not go to school. The Russian language, they sometimes just don’t know. They sit at home with their mothers, while dads work. The house is very conditional. It can be a Dorm or rented apartment, where multiple families live. In fact, children find themselves in the same isolation that we all survived, but the regime is not temporary, but permanent. Should we just escaped from lockdown to explain what it is?

What is the Tretyakov gallery has to offer for children of migrants?

Zelfira Tregulova In our collection houses a rich collection of works of artists from the former Soviet republics, now independent States. Including those whose citizens come to work in Moscow with their families. We thought that art can support a child’s memory of home, of big Samrd with grandmothers, grandfathers, who remained somewhere far away. To give a sense of psychological comfort. For the festival last year, we in ten halls on Krymsky Val has added paintings by famous artists from the Soviet republics. Including Martiros Saryan, Mir Nadir Zeynalov, Camille Mullashev, Alexei Isupova, Javlon Umarbekov, Togrul Narimanbayov. Chose work that was the theme of the hearth, home, family, close circle. This became the basis of the first festival “moving Point”, which was held last year. Thank Timerbulat Karimov, who helped us then.

So this year the festival will for the second time. But this year it will be held online.

For work online need smartphones, tablets…

Zelfira Tregulova: the Phones now these families have. This is a basic means of communication with home.

If the children do not know the language, how to work with them?

Zelfira Tregulova: we Have excellent teachers who know how to work with different audiences. In addition, we are in the Tretyakov gallery, so kids can draw, to tell stories in pictures, share them. Children grasp everything on the fly, if they are interested.

I Assure You, bad language is not the biggest problem. Not so easy even to get these children to bring them to the Museum. A child comes to mom. Mother must leave the house. This can be problematic. In short, this is a very difficult story.

In fact, the issues of working with children of forced migrants (or immigrants) today is relevant to museums around the world. Any self-respecting Museum has educational programs, master classes, excursions for children, who are in an unfamiliar environment is not always comfortable and friendly. We have these programs for a long time was not, so I was very happy when Daria pyrkin, becoming the head of the educational Department, suggested among others, and this project. I very much hope that we will be able to develop it in the future.
