Almost two thirds of Russians believe that the resumption of international flights is able in some measure to lead to negative changes in the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection in the country. This is evidenced by the results of research of Fund “Public opinion”, published on the website of the organization.

27 percent of respondents are preparing for a strong deterioration in the epidemiological situation on the background of the launch of flights abroad. Another 38 percent of respondents believe that the situation with COVID-19 complicated slightly.

Only 17 percent of survey participants do not predict any changes in the current situation. In turn, 18 percent of Russians found it difficult to assess the impact of process recovery of air traffic at the outbreak of coronavirus.

Another 19.3 percent said the most budget way to travel — by train, 15.9 percent called such flights, and 8.1 percent — the bus.

Russia resumed international flights on August 1. At the first stage flights will be carried out only from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Rostov-on-don. Countries with which the flights will recover in the first place, was the UK (London), Turkey (from August 1, Ankara and Istanbul, from August 10 — Antalya, Bodrum and Dalaman) and Tanzania (Zanzibar island). The list will be gradually expanded according to the epidemiological situation.
