When it comes to CNG (compressed natural gas) and not about other types of motor fuel: LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) or LNG (liquefied natural gas).

In “Gazprom gas fuel” called compressed natural gas is more environmentally friendly and cheap. According to the company, on the car at one gas station you can drive about 250 miles, and then switch to gasoline. Mileage truck on one filling of about 450-500 miles. The conversion of the car without new subsidies is, on average, from 60 to 90 thousand rubles.

In June it became known that the Russian authorities will help to convert cars from petrol to gas, increasing the share of subsidy of related expenses. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

In November 2019 was reported that the government has until 2024 to invest in the development of gas industry of 50 billion rubles. In the first stage, the program included 27 regions, where the development of infrastructure of filling stations.
