The contribution to the struggle and sacrifices of the Serbian people for a better, more just and tolerant world, was extremely important for the scrapping of fascism and Nazism”.
Viscovich emphasized that the government of the Republic of Srpska is determined to continue the project of construction of the memorial centre of Donja Gradina on the place of mass executions in Jasenovac concentration camp, where he extinguished the lives of hundreds of thousands of Serb and other peoples. “We will not allow a revision of history and distortions of the facts about the suffering of the Serbian people in world war II – said the Prime Minister. We must recall what happened in our area that would never could not only repeat, but also to forget. The Serbian people out of respect for our ancestors obliged to celebrate this great holiday on may 9 – with dignity, pride and in accordance with the values of the anti-fascist struggle”.
Recall that in the puppet Independent state of Croatia (1941-1945) was part of the modern Republic of Croatia (RC) without Istria and much of Dalmatia and the whole of modern Bosnia and Herzegovina, some areas of Slovenia and syrmia. All previously performed studies, evidence, and sources say that in the concentration camp Jasenovac-Donja Gradina was eliminated 700 000 innocent men, women and children: 500,000 Serbs, 40,000 Gypsies, 33 000 127 000 Jews and anti-fascists. Of the total number of prisoners who were tortured by the ustasha in yasenovets’, 20 000 were children under 12 years.
