Ukrainian public organization has filed a lawsuit against a number of Ministers, officials and deputies, and the state Council of China because of the inactivity in the propagation of the coronavirus COVID-19, said Tuesday the press service of the district administrative court of Kiev.
"In the District administrative court of Kyiv received a claim by the defendants which establishes the state Council of the PRC, office of the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of health of Ukraine, Ministry of social policy of Ukraine, the security Service of Ukraine, office of the attorney General, ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Goncharuk, ex-Ministers of health Zoryana Skaletska and Ilya Yemets and 48 people’s deputies of Ukraine – members of the parliamentary committees on budget issues and on issues of health, health care and health insurance"
Public organization, whose name was not reported, act as a plaintiff, "asks the court to declare the inaction of these defendants regarding the lack of adequate response aimed at protecting the population from infectious diseases and prevent the spread on the territory of Ukraine coronavirus COVID-19".
The suit contains nine requirements, among which is to compel the Chinese government to pay all the civil damages and restitution imposed by international law; to oblige the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to develop and implement the relevant state targeted programmes and sanitary-anti-epidemic rules and regulations, and the Ministry of health of the country is to ensure that the comprehensive clinical trials of medicinal products and expert evaluation of materials of clinical trials with the aim of preventing the spread in Ukraine of coronavirus COVID-19.
Now the court solves a question on acceptance of claim for consideration.
According to the latest data of the Ministry of health, the total number of newly infected coronavirus infection in Ukraine is 16023 person, 425 died, 3373 recovered.
