According to new British sanctions against Russian citizens, Moscow will apply the principle of reciprocity in the scope corresponding to its interests. The response of the Russian side announced the official Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, reports TASS on Tuesday, July 7.

He added that the Kremlin regret in connection with such unfriendly steps.

6 Jul London have imposed personal sanctions against the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) Alexander Bastrykin and of 24 people linked to Russian security forces. According to British authorities, all the people on the list involved in the death in the Matrosskaya Tishina jail auditor Sergei Magnitsky. The restrictions include a ban on entry into the territory of the United Kingdom and the freezing of assets.

In Washington welcomed the new anti-Russian sanctions. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin believes that such methods allow to deal with violations of human rights.
