The expert compared the Russian online protests from the beginning of the Arab spring

Fourth week of isolation provoked a series of rallies in the regions. It turned out that the majority just can’t afford to sit in isolation for coronavirus. At the same time in Rostov-on-don there was another very interesting meeting. Interactive map of the city appeared stickers with angry comments. Stickers messages there were hundreds. So, the Rostov action was the first in the history of the country “online meeting”. Together with the expert, “MK” understood how far you can bring these online meetings.

the Platform for the first in Russian history online-the riot the band chose the most affordable Navigator and an interactive map of the city. These services even in a budget smartphone. Perhaps that’s why apps that yesterday were regularly shown the way for hour small turned into a Playground for the disaffected.

Some ironic asked to cancel the withdrawal and joked: “This is an unauthorized rally, move out until it is too late”, “Waiting online paddy wagons”. The other was “venting” to the security forces. Was quite strong wishes to the authorities.

the Action in Rostov-on-don was picked up quickly by other cities. Voronezh, Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod. He soon reached the capitals stickers angry dialogues densely scored interactive maps of navigation in Saint-Petersburg, the Moscow region and partly in Moscow.

Many experts immediately declared in Russia for the first time seized a mass online protests. However, truly seriously to this phenomenon no one really reacted. Everything was blamed on the regime of self-isolation, in which boredom pushed people to have fun. Even with a sharp accent. But this surprise anyone in the Internet?

–And I would not so easily dismiss this event, – said the “MK” former veteran of Internal troops of Russia, psychologist Anton Belotsky. – Something similar we have already seen, however, is not with us and not here. A similar scenario developed the “Arab spring” of 2011, which many publications have dubbed the “Twitter revolution”. The electronic platform can become not only a place to argue and chat. As it turned out, you can use it flexibly to coordinate the riots, some illegal actions.

the Expert is sure: the regime of self-isolation, the movement is limited. On the one hand, people have a lot of free time, other problems began to accumulate. Especially those who are now forced to not work. Revenues declined. So, according to Blockage, and accumulates a certain critical mass. Opportunities in isolation is also limited, so people are looking for new platforms to convey their problems to the authorities.

–For some even jokes: call virtual riot. Actually, a funny situation can quickly take a serious turn, – konstatanticipated the expert. – No wonder I gave an example of the “Arab spring” – from the virtual to the real discontent – the distance is not so big.

To avoid this, Anton Beliki offers two options.

–the easiest option that we have popular “grab and not let go.” To tighten the screws. But the first question that will arise: who will do it? The moderators and programmers? Unlikely. Have to train and sit for the computers members of the security forces. And then the joke about virtual riot becomes a reality, – said the expert.

However, this decision Belotsky warns. In his opinion, virtual riot and strict moderation is also a dead end road. People will find other sites, instant messengers, online radio channels – Arsenal is huge!

–There is a more productive way: to create a structure that will be proactive. In this situation, in this structure, the backbone needs to be security officials and psychologists, doctors, lawyers – said Belecki. – First of all, people will see that they do not ignore, do not turn away. This immediately reduces the degree of boiling. Second, cut the ground the provocateurs, those who want to use any problems of people in their murky purposes.

Also a plus veteran of Internal troops and the psychologist believes the accompanying explanatory work. According to Blockage, it fenced off the population from the rumors, stuffing and fakes. And thereby prevent possible actions, rallies, protests, which quickly can escalate into real confrontations. And not online but a very real world where a bad review will not wipe, and the word will have to answer.
