The festival of landscape design “Flower Jam” will be held this year at 35 metropolitan venues. Sergei Sobyanin wrote about this in his blog.

Landscape designers will decorate the playgrounds with compositions of various plants. Some projects will remind the best gardens of previous years, and many will be presented to the audience for the first time. The curators of the projects are the winners of the “Flower Jam” competition of previous years, experts and members of the jury.

For example, a forest with birches, pines, fir trees with real cones will appear on Revolution Square. The transition from Manezhnaya Square to Revolution Square will be turned into a lime alley with flower beds in the classic Russian style. Designers will decorate Stoleshnikov Lane with a pergola, entwined with wisteria and climbing roses. And at the entrance to the TSUM on Kuznetsky Most Street, guests will see the composition “Garden of aquatic plants”.

Muscovites and guests of the city will also be shown French mini-gardens made of lavender, petunias, boxwood, roses and sage, a Japanese garden with bonsai and dwarf willows and much more.

Moscow restaurateurs will offer their own original dishes and desserts. In the shopping chalets, you can buy original jams, jams and souvenirs.

“Flower Jam” will last for a whole month — from September 1 to October 1. The festival will be held as part of the cycle of urban street events “Moscow Seasons”. Guests must take precautions: wear masks, keep a social distance of one and a half meters. Concerts and master classes are not planned yet.
